Ericsson
New Zealand formed its first Dragonboat team in 1998. This was a
good year to start as it was the year Wellington hosted the International
Dragonboat Festival.
The team came into being
due to the energies of Shelly who ended being the team manager and her
hubby Mark who ended up being team sweep and co-coach. So many thanks to
them!
In our first year we
managed to get through to the Corporate Social Final and a 4th place.
This wasn't enough for a medal, but we picked up a great spot prize. A
wine trail in Marlborough (courtesy TransRail) for the team, so no
complaints.
