MY INPERSON EXPERIENCES

MAXIM AFINOGENOV(sabres prospect)- Maxim has been compared to Pavel Bure many times and even this has not caused his ego to go way up. He was a very nice person, although he can barely speek any English. Signed 1 card for me. (8)

SERGE AUBIN(avalanche prospect)- I met him at the 2000 AHL All-Star game and I got him to sign my program after the skills competition. Not only is he a great guy, but he has an awesome signature. (10)

DONALD AUDETTE(kings, ex-sabre)- He showed up to Game #4 of the second round completely unexpectedly and was very willing to sign for everyone. He's is a very nice guy. He drove all the way from LA just to see the game. (10++)

MATTHEW BARNABY(penguins, ex-sabre)- Matt is one of the best people for autographs. I've met him on many occassions and every single time he spends a great deal of time with his fans taking pictures and signing autographs. Great work Matt and I hope you keep up the great work while with the Pens. (10+)

STU BARNES(sabres)- Stopped his car and signed for everyone after a game. Great work by the newest sabre. (9.5)

MARTIN BIRON(call-up sabre)- The 18 year old call up goaltender for the Sabres is very willing to sign for his fans. He signed 1 card for me and I'm sure he would have signed more if I would have had more than 1 item for him to sign. Great work Martin. (10)

RAY BOURQUE(bruins)- This future hall of famer was signing at a sports store. He was very nice and looked up and talked to every single one of his fans. He limited everyone to 1 autograph per person because he wanted to give everyone an autograph. What a great guy. (10)

DAN BOYLE(florida organization)- I met him at the 2000 AHL All-Star game and he was very pleased to sign my program. Very nice guy. (8)

CURTIS BROWN(sabres)- I had lunch with this young Sabre in January of 1999 because I had won a contest through hockey camp. He was very, very nice and was very willing to sign 4 items for me. Not the greatest signature, but whenever a player signs 4 for you, you can't complain. I bumped into him a month later, and he even remembered me. And one night after a tough loss to the Devils, he stopped for all autograph collectors and signed for everyone. Great work by Curtis. (10+)

DON CHERRY(ex-coach/player, current analyst)- I have had the extreme pleasure of meeting Don on 2 occasions. One was at a Jr. B hockey game and he was very pleased to sign a copy of his Rock 'Em Sock 'Em movie. The second time was at the 2000 AHL All-Star game and he gladly signed a Boston Bruins puck. One of the most pleasant people I have ever met. (10+)

RANDY CUNNEYWORTH(sabres)- Seemed very pleased to sign a card for me and very willingly carried on a conversation with everybody, even after signing for 3 hours. He was very polite and well worth getting. (10)

CHRIS & PETER FERRARO(bruins organization)- I met these twin brothers at the 2000 AHL All Star game in Rochester. The were sitting five feet away from where I was sitting and only an aisle way was seperating us. I went up to both of them and asked for their autograph and they were very happy to do give it to me. Great job by these future greats! (9)

MIKE GARTNER(ex-leaf, retired)- I met him at a hockey camp and he was very nice to everyone. He signed 2 items for everyone while adding one of his personal cards. So in total, everyone could have received 3 cards. Great work Mike. (10)

JEAN-LUC GRANDE-PIERRE(call-up sabre)- This young call-up defenseman was very willing and seemed a little surprised when I asked him to sign a puck for me. It took a little while for him to sign it because he has such a big name, but it was worth it. Great work Jean. (10)

CHRIS GRATTON(sabres)- Since being acquired by the Sabres at the trading deadline, I've had the pleasure meeting Chris a couple of times and he always seems very willing to sign. (10)

MICHAL GROSEK(sabres)- Was very willing to sign 2 cards for me and everyone else. Nice sig. (9)

DOMINIK HASEK(sabres)- I've heard that he only signs one item per person, but I've met him 4 times and that hasn't been the case either time. He doesn't look up when signing, and doesn't seem to happy about doing it. But hey, that comes with being one of the best in the world. He won't let you get a picture taken with him though. (6)

JASON HOLLAND(sabres)- Very nice when I went up to him for an autograph, but didn't say much. (6.5)

BRIAN HOLZINGER(sabres)- Very willing to sign 3 or 4 items per person. Signs for everyone with a great sig. (9)

DMITRI KALININ(sabres)- One of the top prospects in all of hockey and he's only 19 years old. I've met him a couple of times and every time he is very willing to sign. He's a very nice guy! (10)

PAUL KRUSE(sabres)- Signed for everyone around. He signed 1 card for me because that was all I had. He has an awesome sig! (9.5)

MIKE KRUSHELNYSKI(ex-leaf)- I met Mike at an autograph show and it was free unlike Zezel. He signed as many items as you wanted. Great work Mike. (9)

CHRISTIAN MATTE(avalanche organization)- Signed my All-Star program after the skills competition and was very happy to do it. (9)

BRAD MAY(canucks, ex-sabre)- When with the Sabres, he signed 2 items for me very nicely. He made sure that he signed for everyone. Great work Brad. (10)

JAY McKEE(sabres)- After a tough loss, he still stopped his vehicle to sign for everyone. (10)

BARRY MELROSE(ex-coach, espn analysts)- One of the nicest people I have ever met. He was the Honourary Captain for PlanetUSA in the 2000 AHL All-Star game and I ended up seeing him after the game. He signed a mini-stick for me. (10)

MIKE NORONEN(finland, sabres prospect)- Very nice when I went up to him and he seemed very happy that everyone was asking for his autograph. Since he played the 3rd period and overtime the previous night, I thought I should compliment him on such an awesome game he had. He seemed thrilled about that and when I asked him what he thought about the new 4-on-4 format in OT, he didn't seem too thrilled about that, he just said "It's different". Very nice guy! (10+)

MARK OSBORNE(retired, ex-leaf)- I met him at hockey camp and he was a very nice guy. He came on the ice with my group and taught us some valuable things. One evening, I was even lucky enough to sit right next to him for supper and we talked for awhile. That was pretty cool. But afterwards, he signed a photo for everyone and even signed a Leafs jersey for me and posed for a picture. (10)

JAMES PATRICK(sabres)- Signed 2 cards for me after a practice. And after a game he stopped and even asked collector's if we had anything we wanted signed. Very nice guy. (10)

MIKE PECA(sabres)- I've met him many times, and sometimes he runs away from his fans, and other times he'll sign for everyone. I guess you've gotta catch him on a good day. After a 2-1 loss he still had the kindness to stop for collector's and sign. (9.5)

JEAN-MARC PELLETIER(flyers prospect)- He was playing in the 2000 AHL All Star game. I got him to sign a puck and a program for me after the skills competition and he signed a card for me after the game. Very nice about it and signed for everyone. He even talked to me for a bit after the game. He's a very nice guy and a future great goalie. (10+)

DEREK PLANTE(stars, ex-sabre)- I met Derek when with the Sabres and he is a very willing signer. He signed multiple items for everyone. (9.5)

KEITH PRIMEAU(flyers)- I met him after Game 3 of the 2000 playoffs against Buffalo. He walked up to us, the fans, and signed a few for us. I managed to get him to sign a puck. Most visiting players don't usually sign for us, but Keith was nice enough to and seemed pretty happy doing it. (10)

WAYNE PRIMEAU(sabres)- This young sabres is very willing to sign for everyone. He signed 2 cards for me with a great sig. He too stopped after a game and signed for everyone. Good work by the younger brother of Keith.(10)

MIKE RAMSEY(sabres assist. coach)- This ex-Sabres signs as many items as you would like for everyone. He is probably one of the best signers in the NHL. Great work Mike.(10)

ERIK RASMUSSEN(sabres)- Erik signed 3 cards for me very willingly and signed 4 for another fan. Great signer. (10)

ROB RAY(sabres)- The Sabres tough guy can be very rude, but other times he is very nice. I've met him on many occasions and every time somebody doesn't say please, he freaks out and says "don't you have manners". He'll only sign if you are very, and I mean very polite. But he does make sure everyone gets his signature while limiting everyone to only 1 item. (7)

DWAYNE ROLOSON(sabres)- This back-up goaltender is a very willing signer. Both times I met him he signed my cards. Good work "Rolo". (10)

LINDY RUFF(sabres head coach)- I've only met Lindy once and he was very willing to sign my jersey before a practice. Signed for a few others. (9)

GEOFF SANDERSON(sabres)- The first time I met Geoff, he signed 2 cards for me and a few others very willingly. The second time I met him he left out the back signing for noone. The third time I met him he was very nice. Do you have to catch him on a good day or something? (7)

CORY SARICH(sabres)- He was very nice and extremely happy about signing. How often do you hear a player say 'thank you' to you for asking for his autograph, it was very nice to hear that from this youngster. Great work by Cory! (10)

MIROSLAV SATAN(sabres)- Satan is one of the nicest guys I've every met. He signed multiple items for everyone. Great work by Miro. (10)

RICHARD SMEHLIK(sabres)- Stopped his car and willingly signed multiple items for everyone. Great work by Richard. (10)

DAN TREBIL(mighty ducks organization)- I got him to sign a hockey card for me after the AHL All-Star game and he seemed pretty happy to do it. Pretty nice guy! (9)

DIMITRI YUSKEVICH(maple leafs)- I was waiting outside the Toronto dressing room at Maple Leaf Gardens and there was a very big group of people waiting for autographs and he dressed up as a fan, wearing sunglasses and with his hood over his head. No one noticed that it was actually him until he was long gone. Poor work by Yuskevich. (1)

VACLAV VARADA(sabres)- He signed 3 cards for me very nicely. Was very willing to sign and signed for everyone there. (9)

ALEXANDRE VOLCHKOV(capitals organization)- I met him at the 2000 AHL All-Star game and I got him to sign a card for me after the game. He didn't seem too thrilled about it. But he was willing to sign. (6+)

MIKE WILSON(sabres)- I was the only one who asked him for his autograph and he was very willing to sign. Nice sig. (10)

JASON WOOLLEY(sabres)- The sabres great defenseman stopped his car after a game and signed for everyone. Very nice guy. (10)

PETER ZEZEL(canucks, ex-leaf)- I met him at an autograph session and obviously he signed for everyone. He was pretty nice. It costed $5 for each item though. (8)

ALEXEI ZHITNIK(sabres)- Signed 2 cards for me with a beautiful signature and signed for everyone. Another time he walked right out of the building stopping for no one. (6)
