Any person of good moral character and financial responsibility interested in sailing and the furtherance of this squadron shall be eligible for membership. Members are not required to own a boat.  It is not required to have or own a boat to become a member. No person on the ground of race, color, sex, religious creed, or national origin,shall be excluded from consideration for membership.

        Application for membership in the Squadron shall be made on forms provided and accompanied by the initiation fee.

        Application for membership in the Squadron must be signed by two regular members as sponsors and read by one of the sponsors with the applicant present at two regular meetings of the Squadron.

         Regular membership application must be approved at a regular meeting of the BOARD OF DIRECTORS.  A two-thirds vote of the directors present will be required for approval.

         Tampa Sailing Squadron is a member participation organization.  The Squadron holds monthly work parties on weekends.   Applicants will have participated in at least two of these work parties, in so far as the applicants physical ability to participate.
