Chapter 6

(One week later)

Felicity flung herself on her bed, relived that she would not have to see her suitors this night. She heard Grace enter her new room and close the old wooden door behind her. Grace began to open the large windows to allow the hot air that enveloped the room escape into the slightly cooler night. The weather had been unbelivably hot, so her father ordered that all of her suitors move into the lower half of the castle so the servants could tend to them, and put his daughter high in a tower, far away from her suitors. Her room was small but private. Grace now stayed in the floor beneath her with many empty floors below her room. Crying into her pillow, she begged Grace to talk to her parents again, requesting that picking a suitor can be once again put off. Grace could only hold the hurt and confused child in her arms, letting her cry. As she began to calm herself down, Grace changed the subject.

Your wounds are healing nicely Princess." Grace commented as she helped the Princess rise from the bed and out of her heave gown and into her light, comfortable nightgown.

"Yes, but I still am occasionally in pain, especially right here." Felicity replied as she pointed to a large bruise just above her breast that was slightly visable through her semi-transparent nightgown.

"Your wounds will heal over time." Grace said as she helped Felicity crawl beneith her sheets and blanket. The moon come out from behind the clouds, illuminating half of the room with a soft white glow. The girls exchanged their goodnights as Grace blew out the candles and left the room, closing the door behind her. Felicity lay in her bed, staring at the celing high above her. A breeze blew into the room, bringing with it a familar scent. She closed her eyes as the scent filled her with a warm feeling, almost a feeling of safeness. She remembered the last time she experienced the heavenly scent. On the back of her horse, leaning against a total stranger, just about to fall asleep. His soft hair brushing against her cheek, giving her comfort. She opened her eyes as clouds covered the moon, causing the room to blacken. She felt twinges of fear form in her stomach when she heard something move in her room. She sucked in a breath as she heard the noise again, like boots against the wooden floor. Squinting into the dark room, she tried to locate the object causing the noise, then flung the bed covers over her head and held her breath as the quiet footsteps got closer to her. Her eyes widened and fought back a scream as she heard the footsteps footsteps stop beside her bed. She released the scream as the bed sheets and blankets were drawn down and away from her body. She would of backed away from that side of the bed if fear had not frozen her in place. She stared up into the darkness where she guessed whoever had thrown her bed covers was. She felt the bed suddenly sag and relised that she was now not alone in the bed. Unable to do anything else, she closed her eyes and tried to gather her courage to call out for help. Her eyes flew open as she felt a pair of strong lips suddenly brush against hers. Sucking in a breath, she tried to scoot away from her attacker, but the man had straddled her body. As the man's lips moved to brush her cheek. Felicity found her courage and pushed on the man's large shoulders. She tried to use her foice, but choked between tears.

"Please... please..." Felicity begged. "Please leave me alone. Do not do this horrible thing."

"Is it so horrible Princess? Or is it horrible because you want it to be?" A deep, familar voice whispered in her ear.

Immedately reconizing the deep voice, she relaxed just a bit, her hands now resting on his shoulders instead of pushing on them, which did not go unnoticed by the man. She tried to ask him questions.

"Please... I must... know your name." She whispered breathlessly as she felt his lips caressing her ear.

"You will know my name in time Princess." He whispered in response.

She stiffened as she felt a large hand slide up her arm and across her shoulder. His lips left hers to travel down her chin and slender throat. Felicity's eyes widened and let out a muted cry as his strong hand covered her young breast. She bit back a scream as the man lowered his head to softly nuzzle her swollen breast. As the man's lips gently covered her sensitive nipple through the thin material of her nightgown, she cried out in supurise and pleasure, not in terror or pain as her fear slowly melted away. Arching her back, she cupped his head in her small hands, tangeling her fingers in his familar, soft hair and cried out again as she experienced for the first time a wave of pleasure flow through her. Never had she felt anything so intense! Her head thrashed about on the soft pillow as he continued his tender administrations, gently flicking his tongue across her material covered tip. She gasped as she felt his head suddenly turn in her hands, as if he was looking at the door.

"I must go." He whispered as he released her. She cried out in protest and confusion as she felt him move away from her and she reached out toward him, silently begging him not to go. He grabbed her blankets that had pooled at the bottom of her bed and brought them up to her chin, his fingers grazing her cheek. Quickly grasped his hand, she held on to it.

"Please do not go." she whispered as she felt him pull his hand out of her grasp, wanting more of the pleasurable sensation that this man brought to her, but yet confused about the fact that she wanted this stranger to stay.

"Do not worry Princess." the man said. "You will see me again soon." He leaned down to give her one last kiss, with her responding by throwing her arms around his thick neck, desperately trying to keep him there just a little longer. As he drew away, he took her hand in his and brushed his lips across her skin.

"Good night Princess." was his only farewell as he let go of her hand.
Just as she began to collect her thoughts, Grace suddenly burst through the door with a candle in her hand and a frightened look on her face.

"Princess! I heard your cry! Is everything all right?" Grace quickly asked. Even though Grace only held one candle, Felicity could see the entire room. As she sat up in the bed, she quickly looked for the man. He wasn't anywhere to be found, and there was no place in the room to hide. Where did he go? Looking back at Grace, she answered her question.

"I am fine Grace. I only had a nightmare." Felicity suddenly felt bad that she lied about the real reason she had cried out, but for some odd reason, she felt it was better if Grace didn't know.

Grace heaved a sigh of relief when she heard that the Princess only had a nightmare. Making sure that the Princess didn't need anything, she turned and softly closed the door behind her. Felicity slowly lay back down in her bed, her nightgown was moist where his mouth had been and she shivered in pleasure as tiny aftershocks ran through her. She smiled as she remembered his promise of her seeing him again soon. She fell asleep with the smile still on her face, feeling safe for the first time in many days.
