"You really should consider opening your heart to one of those men." Grace said as she unbuttoned Felicity's dress. Felicity smiled at the portly maid as she slipped out of her dress. "None of them intrest me Grace. I want to marry out of love." "Your parents are not giong to accept that as an accuse for your lack of choosing a future husband." Grace said as she helped Felicity into her long white nightgown. "I have just celebrated my twenty-first birthday, but I still feel that I am too young for marrige." "It's just nervousness." Grace said as she helped the Princess into her large bed. "I'm sure that you will find a suitor of your liking and you will see that it will not be as bad as you think. Now you must stop talking about this and go to sleep, or we will be talking all night. We will talk about this tomorrow." Felicity laughed at Grace's remark, but knew that they would talk the night away if given the chance. They exchanged their goodnights as Grace stirred the fire to drain the last of the heat from it. Felicity watched as Grace waddled across the large room, blowing out the candles as she went. As she reached the doorway, she turned around to check on the Princess one last time. Seeing that everything was as it should be, she closed the heavy wooden door. |
