I will be producing these dummy
runs over the next month and I will send them over the Latics mailing list
but if you want to receive your copy daily after 1st August you
will have to e-mail me at the address at the bottom to be added to the
list. I must say that after
reflecting on my week in the Isle of Man, how much I enjoy the tournament
every year. The way that the supporters get on with each other is a joy
to see with never a hint of trouble. Our victory in the competition means
that we receive a automatic invitation to next years event. I will be there,
maybe you will too. Gary

Rovers set for visit
Tuesday sees the visit of injury hit Blackburn
to Boundary Park, for Andy Ritchie's testimonial.
A big crowd is expected for the Lancashire
derby, which kicks off at 7.45pm.
Brian Kidd is struggling with injury
problems to his expensive squad, with the likes of Peacock, Flitcroft,
McAteer and Ward struggling with injury.
It's still expected to be a strong
squad in action for Rovers, with still a massive squad at Ewood Park.
Ritchie happy with trophy
Andy Ritchie was delighted with the Latics
first trophy success of the season, after their victory in the Isle of
Man tournament.
Oldham beat Stockport 3-1 on penalties
in the final, and Ritchie hopes there's more silverware to come.
The boss said: "It will be a great
boost for the player's confidence, and the whole week was a good pre-season
work out."
He added: "But I am not getting carried
away. We face a long, hard season and you can't read too much into our
results in the Isle of Man."

Agogo to miss start of season
Latics have been stunned with the news
that Junior Agogo will miss the start of the new season due to an international
call-up.
Agogo, the hero of the penalty shoot-out
win over Stockport in the final of the Isle of Man Festival of Football
yesterday, will be required by Ghana for a friendly international on August
7 - the same date as the kick off of the new season.
Boss Andy Ritchie has confirmed that
Ghana have asked about Agogo, and he will reluctantly have to release his
star man.
Young star on trial
The Latics are giving a trial to former
Newcastle teenager Jordan Tait, who's looking to earn a permanent deal
at Boundary Park.
The 19 year old was released by Newcastle,
but appeared to be heading for Third Division Hartlepool.
He had in fact agreed a two year deal
at Victoria Park, but they had to withdraw their offer for financial reasons.
Andy Ritchie said: "Chris Turner, the
Hartlepool manager, recommended Jordan, saying he was well worth a look."
He added: "I also had a word with Carl
Serrant, who was a team-mate at Newcastle, and he also rated him."
Tait will spend the next week at Boundary
park, looking to prove his worth.
Graham injury blow
Richard Graham is facing a longer than
expected injury lay-off following his knee surgery.
The injury-jinxed defender was already
ruled out of the start of the new season, but now has had to put back his
return date even further.
Graham has been plagued by injury for
much of the last two seasons, and this latest news will come as a big blow
to Latics boss Andy Ritchie.
