Tanjong Pagar Reaches Out For New Club Members(BH)
Last week, Tanjong Pagar United starts its campaign to find more fans to be their club members.
There's no other better then to start at MRT stations. Club head coach Robert Alberts and the Jaguars goes from one station to another meeting the fans. Their journeys starts from Tanjong Pagar MRT station.
Business And PR Manager, Christine Kong said, "So far 1,000 membership forms had been given out. At the same time, players and Alberts(Robert Alberts) had convinced some people who had not seen any S-League matches to come and watch the Jaguars play their first game against Geylang United this Saturday."
Lots of previledges are being offered to club member, they are, using the facilities at the Club House In Queenstown Stadium and discounts on PUMA products.
The Tanjong Pagar contingent also meet the fans at Tiong Bahru MRT station. Their journey ends at Clementi MRT station.
Three Jaguars Being Recognized As Singapore's Young Guns(ST)
Defender: Lim Soon Seng(22), Midfielder: Basri Halis(23), and Striker: Haris Sumri(20). This three are the young guns of Singapore.
Born in a fledging league, Singapore's new wave of young soccer professionals are ready to take the new season by storm.
Ones branded as "promising youngsters", many of the under-23-year-olds starting the new season on Saturday are now full-time professionals with several national caps in their cabinets.
Said S-League chief executive officer Chris Chan: "The development schemes are vital to the progress of the league. We need this constant stream of young talent to keep Singapore soccer alive."
