Abstract:
	Nb and La impurity effects upon the BaTiO3 properties have 
been studied by means of a quantum-chemical method. The lattice 
distortion due to the impurity has been obtained for both cubic and 
tetragonal phases. Electron transfer effect to the conduction band 
is observed in the case of the Nb-doping.
