1998-99 REGISTRATION WORKSHEET
SENIOR COURSE WORK LIST
Each member of the Senior Class may take 5 academic courses and a year of physical education. One credit is given for each (year long) academic course successfully completed and one credit is presently given for each year of physical education passed. No credit is given for a failing semester grade in any course. A full year of Chorus is recorded as 1/2 credit. 21 credits will be required to graduate including the following requirements:
1. 3 years of English (4)*
2. 2 years of Math (3 past Gen Math II and Pre-Alg)*
3. 1 year of Science (3 lab science)*
4. 2 years of Social Studies (Am History is required)(W Hist, Am Hist, and Gov't)(3)*
5. 1 year chosen from Art, Foreign Language**, or Vocational Education (2 Span and/or Art)*
6. 1/2 year of Health
7. 1/2 year of Dr. Ed.
8. The U.S. Constitution Test (Given in Am Hist)
9. A Consumer Ed Course or pass the Consumer Ed Test (Test is offered each Fall)(presently Gov't, Geog, Home Ec Or or Business Orient
10. 4 years of PE or documented legal excuse
*Asterisk indicates minimum course requirement for admission to Illinois Public Colleges and Junior College Transfer Programs since Fall Semester of 1993. HOWEVER, SIU, U OF I, ILLINOIS STATE, AND EASTERN ILLINOIS AS WELL AS OTHER SCHOOLS VARY SOMEWHAT IN REQUIREMENTS. SEE THE SHEET POSTED IN YOUR HOMEROOM--OR SEE MR. WEISER.
