Yes I have decided to actually spend more time doing this page rather than taking it off someone else besides I can say what I want here. Anyways this is the brand new players page. Ziggy and her Wings page gave me the idea..hope you ain't mad Ziggy. Anyways here goes it. i only have a mugshot and a brief description but soon I will have full pages for some big namers


The "Save"iours

We'll start from the back to the last line of Defense. These three hopefully will bring the Oilers to the promise land. They will bring a lot of wins and a lot of joy to Oiler fans

Tommy Salo After the Cat landed in the Island, there was no room for Tommy there, well this proven goalie is a perfect remedy for the Oilers net blues
Bob Essensa Goalie Bob has some tough chores ahead of him but he will share duties and be #1 goalie again
Steve Passmore Passmore has paid his dues in the minors, and now he's ready to become the future star goaltender for the Oilers


The Forwards

The Go getters or the Get goalers. This group will make or break the season

Doug Weight C The Star that shines bright for the Oilers...biggest point getter of the team last year and is the only man in the NHL to lead his respective team in points the last 6 years
Bill Guerin RWThe Oilers' Power forward..Will get major points as the oilers #1 center until Dougie comes back
Todd Marchant CThe Oilers' hero last spring...the littlest player of the team was the biggest when he was the only player to score in Overtime of Game 7
Josef Beranek CSather's project has turned wonder and is now handeling the first line very well, thank you very much
Mike Grier RWThe Great Future Power Forward for the Oilers...this guy defines "The Nitty-Gritty"
Alexander Selivanov LW This forward has something to prove and is insipired by a great hockey town
Chad Kilger LWA player with a lot of potential, but he has to prove himsef as this is his 4th NHL team
Ethan Moreau RWHe already contributed on his first game as an Oiler getting 3 points and helping Grier get his first NHL hat trick
Daniel Lacroix RWAnother tough guy forward with a lot of experience with Philly
Pat Falloon RWThis speedy aquasition will do marvels in the great Colosium (I know it's Skyreach Center..but I don't like the name)ice
Rem Murray CRem the gem will shine again
Kelly Buchburger LWOh Captain , My Captain lead us the way to the Cup
Boyd Deveroux CThe Future of the Oilers will shine this year
Daniel Cleary CThis young gunner didn't perform in Chicago, but he will have lots of opportunity to shine here, and he has the potential to be big in the NHL
Ryan Smyth CThis Alberta boy broke Gretzky's old team PP goal record two years ago..but will he deliver this year??
Fredrik Lindquist COne of the Oilers future bright stars he will be called up many times to the team this year and hopefully will stay with the team very soon
Kevin Brown LW Brown was very impressive in camp and scored in his first two Oiler games, he is one of the blue-chippers of this squad
Chris Ferraro Was called up to the Oilers when the stars hit the injury bug, he will be one of the future hopefuls of the Oilers
Dan LaCouture Dan is the scoring leader in the dog pound in Hamilton, and was called up recently to fill some holes in the line up


The Blue Liners

Even when the job is to get pucks out of the net these guys will also try to get pucks into the other net as well..these are the D-Men

Roman Hamrlik Once the franshise in Tampa Bay, this former 1st overall pick now will quarterback the Oilers now potent Power Play and has been a welcome addition
Christian LaFlamme This guy is a solid, young stay at home defenceman that will try to fill the hole taht Luke Richardson left in D
Janne NiinimaaJanne will be great with a full season in a Oiler uniform and is one of the core of the revamped offensive backs
Craig Millar Before this was an all-time Bullbog, but now has come up and is paired up with the veteran Marty McSorley
Marty McSorleyMarty is back to try again with the Oilers...The Oilers will make good use of his hard work, great defensive insticts and experience
Frank MusilFrank will add a lot of experienced as he has improved and helped the young Oilers with his experienced game
Tom PotiHe completes the Oilers offensive defencemen..a heralded rookie coming out of a great system at Boston University
Sean BrownWill be the tough guy at the Oilers blue line and will be helped by Marty McSorley and Kevin Lowe
