The icons of the Ventnor cat community, Mitten and Gizmo are great cats and deserve respect from their peers. Mitten, ( other names include Mitts ) at the grand old age of 10 is wise, and a specialist bird catcher. Gizmo ( other names include Gizzie ), a youngster is a mere 3 months old and always playing or causing absolute havoc in the Read household.

official mascot of the Spyglass Inn is a big fat cat but a great guy.
Visit the Spyglass and you might get a special visit from this
marvellous cat.
Ami ( R.I.P )
was a great cat and is in legendary status amongst the cats of
Ventnor town. She grew up in Bournemouth and retired to the Isle of
Wight, to live a grrrrrrreat life !
