My Response to the Anti-Kurt's Note Campaigns

Please Read

As usual, here's my intro to the rest of the page. As I was surfing the web to look for other Nirvana sites in order to get the jist of what they're doing, I came across a small button that read "Keep Kurt's Suicide Note off the Internet". I followed the link and was lead to a page which was bad mouthing webmasters who put Kurt's note on their sites. I was quite baffled. Now, please read on.

As you could have guessed by now, there really aren't many people who like Nirvana as much as I do. Obviously, I would never do something which I thought would damage the reputation of the band or hurt someone involved in the project. By putting the note on my page, I meant only to inform the people who visit my site. To let them see why Kurt decided to end his life. As fellow fans, they have a right to know!

I watch the news almost everyday. There are so many murders that take place here in New York that it's crazy. Every time that a murder is reported, the name of the victim, as well as the killer, if known, is reported. That's how some families find out that they just lost a son! To date, I have not heard of anyone writing to a news station and telling them that it's not right to do that, so why would anyone care about Kurt's suicide note, unless they aren't really fans?

Please, don't get me wrong. I wholeheartedly understand why some people would want to keep it out of public viewing - to respect Kurt and his family. Not having spoken to anyone representing him or his family, I am going to go out on a limb and say that I am not disrespecting him, I am simply keeping his legacy alive. If anyone representing the family should contact me, the note will be deleted from this site without thought.

I would like to take this opportunity to tell some people - who aren't big on Nirvana - about Kurt's genious. I don't know whether or not you've seen The Wedding Singer starring Adam Sandler or not. If you have, then think of the kind of music that the movie had. Now imagine About A Girl, School, Love Buzz, or, for those not that familiar with Nirvana, Smells Like Teen Spirit. At a time when techno was the rage, Kurt Cobain developed a new type of music which forever changed Rock and Roll.

To my avid visitors - do not fret! The note will stay on until the site closes down (which I do not plan to do). I thank you for your support, and LONG LIVE NIRVANA!!!
