GLOBE Hydrology Investigation
Mrs. Anderson's fifth grade students from room 218 went to Marquette park to test the waters.
The Randolph school students toss a bucket into the pond to collect a water sample for the GLOBE Hydrology investigation.
Mrs. Anderson snaps a picture of Tiara and Tayesha Hiner as they take the temperature of the water sample. Angela Davis, Dimitrius O'Kelley, Deante Johnson and Samone Watkins get ready to check the PH of the water.
GLOBE Teacher Greg Lopatka checks the GPS (Global Positioning System) coordinates for the water site, so that GLOBE scientist can find the Randolph water study site from LANDSAT satellite images. Ashley Burgess, Samone Watkins, Krystal McLendon and Antwaun Moss look on.
After taking water temperature and PH readings, Antwaun, Kendra and Samone take a jump rope break.
