Ron "H20" Waterman Interview

This interview was done outside the sports bar in the hotel. The H2O man was
truly a class act and deserves to return to the Octagon. He is one monster of
a man.
Me: Mr.Waterman thanks for this interview. I really appreciate it. Your debut
tonight was strong and the fans really liked you. It�s good to have you as a
part of our underground forum. So tell me, what are your future plans for
fighting?? Any shows coming up??
H2O man: Well I�ve been asked to fight in a superfight in the Bas Rutten
Invitational in Denver, Co. I plan on fighting a lot more in the future.
Me: So what did you think of the Bas Rutten fight??
H2O man: It was a good call. Bas was very active from the bottom and he
fought a smart fight. After awhile Randleman has nothing left.
Me: What about the controversy of many people who call fights works?
H2O man: There is a big difference in that. Works have no part in the UFC.
Me: Ok Mr.Waterman what do you do for a living outside of the Octagon??
H2O man: I�m a high school art teacher in Creeley West, Co. I trained about a
block from where the shooting took place.
Me: So if you were there how would you have handled the situation?
H2O man: I�ve would�ve handled it the same way. Just do it as safe as you can
and try to escape.
Me: What other fights have you done before coming to the UFC??
H2O man: I was the at the 1st Bas Rutten Invitational. There was 3 fights and
I
won all my matches. I competed in 3 submission tournaments and I haven�t
been beaten yet. But tonight is my first NHB event.
Me: So how do you look at yourself as a fighter after tonight??
H2O man: Well it�s hard to get a good look. The fight was good but it didn�t
show everything I can do. But I still can�t take the fight for granted. No way.
Me: Ok so what about Chris Condo what did you think about him??
H2O man: John Piretti took the advice of his friend that Chris would be a good
fighter. Jeff Mullins is Condo�s trainer and he talked to John about this. He told
Piretti that Chris was real good.
Me: So John didn�t know Chris�s experience before accepting him?
H2O man: He took his word and planned for this awhile ago. This was not an
overnight or last minute decision.
Me: So when is your next fight again?
H2O man: It�s gonna be in July. I don�t my opponent yet.
Me: Great Mr.Waterman. I know you�re busy and have to go but thanks for
your
time and I hope to see you in the UFC again. Do me a favor and check out the

H2O man: Yea I�ll definitely be back. I�ll be reading and looking at the forum
