THE PCC WEB SITE

This is a reminder to our membership that the PCC has its own Web Site on the Internet. The Web Site is coming along, but photographs of the members and/or their boats are still needed. If you havent checked out the Web Site lately please do so, many new links have been added for information, parts, and recreation. The PCC Web Site address is http://www.geocities.com/Colosseum/Field/9579 . The PCCs e-mail address is [email protected].

PCC MEETING SLATED

The Summer is flying past us and we have yet to have a meeting where at least half of the membership was present to discuss some important matters. The first three (3) meeting of 1997 appear to have been a washout. We all understand this has been a strange Summer with everyones schedules being changed from day to day, or week to week; however, we need to set a date to either meet at the dock or have a raft- up to discuss several topics of importance. The only way I can see to set a date where the most people will be able to attend is to leave it up to the members themselves. So, everyone either give me or Barbara a call at home or catch us at the Boat, and tell us when the best time would be for you to attend the meeting. Once we receive enough responses to set a date and time of the meeting, we will send out a special notice to all the membership advising you of the date, time, and location. By-the-way we do have an answer machine, so if we arent home for some reason please leave a message. And if you want to leave your suggested date, time, and place that will be okay too. Our answer machine doesnt cut you off in the middle of your sentence.

MOVED TO NEW SLIPS

Since the Pickwick Cove Marina sold, numerous members have moved their boats to other marinas and slips. This happened just as we were completing the PCC Membership Roster. We have managed to talk to most of the people that made a change and get your new information, as well as, verify your home address and phone numbers. However, there is still a vast majority that we have not talked to or who have not replied to e-mail. I am asking that everyone who has had any change of address, change of phone numbers, or moved their boat to a new location to please fill out the form included in this Newsletter and return it to us as soon as possible. I would like to get the Membership Roster completed and delivered to everyone before the Summer is over. If you dont want to mail the form in, you can complete is and give it to us at the Lake. Or you can go to the PCC Web Site and complete the same form and send it to us by e-mail. We need our information to be correct before we pass it along to all the members.

JULY 4th RAFT-UP

There were several boats that rafted up at the State Park for the 4th of July fireworks, but fewer than last year. We attempted to take some photographs of the fireworks and maybe add them to our Web Site, but the photos were of less than desirable quality. We would like to thank Bruce Harkness on "Sundown" for getting to the State Park/Dam early and getting everyone a great location to watch the fireworks. I believe we would have had more participation and a better turnout if everyone would have known a little sooner where we were actually going to be, so we will attempt to improve our communication skills.

Be Safe........... and well see you on the Lake.
