Below you can review the latest ranking of European Top 100 club. Note that Galatasaray is always the topmost turkish club in this ranking due to it's outstanding present and past international glories.
European Clubs Ranking on January 5, 1997. First of all, few word have to be said about the evaluation of the ranking. The current rank of a team is obtained using the same method as in the case of season(year) ranking. To ensure that the ranking reflects the current team's status, primarily team's performance inthe on-going football year is considered. Team's results over the previous four years is also taken into account.The calculation is based upon the following components: The on-going year (e.g., 1996/97): 10/10 value + previous year (1995/96): 4/10 value + previous year (1994/95): 3/10 value + previous year (1993/94): 2/10 value + previous year (1992/93): 1/10 value. Thus obtained ranking for top 100 teams is given below. The following countries have representatives in the ranking:
