Coach's Comments
2005 Titans

   5/10/05 - AL
This is a very busy week with 6 games in 6 days.  2 games down, 2 victories, and 1 game at a time.  Tonight cross town rival came to play on the VP.  This was a big game for us as is was our first step toward achieving one of our season team goals, to be City Champs.  Well one down as we beat AL 3-1 tonight and will travel to St. Alberts on Thursday.  We played very very well tonight and were awesome once again on defense as the only goal we gave up was to a PK.  We were up 2-0 at the half and I told them that is one of the worst leads that you can have, they score just one and it is a new game.  I said we need to get to three to put this game away.  They wasted no time as they came out and within minutes put in the third goal.  That is what we needed, as from there you could see the confidence in our boys as they stepped up stopped what ever they came at us with.  They have really come along right now and are playing together and focused.  This was a big win for us tonight.  Scoring tonight was as follows, Ben Edwards 1 goal, Dan Fischer 1 goal, Kyle Zaloudek 1 goal, assists Luke Thomsen (1), Ben Edwards (1), Seth Jackson (1).  SA is next in line. The kids have discovered the ability to jump on teams early in the 1st half, and putting the nail in the coffin early in the 2nd half.  Every 50/50 ball in the game had a white shirt underneath it.  We flat out wanted it more than they did.  TJ beat SA 3-0, SA will be hungry on Thursday.  We will have our work cut out for us.  The black tape continued on Tuesday night in honor of our coach Willer and his family.  Heavy hearts is the way we will play from here on out.  D was very inspirational to us last night.  Thursday night with St Alberts will be a Junior Varsity game at 4:30 followed by Varsity.

JV moves the notch to 6 wins tonight with their 5th shut out of the season over AL.  They win 2-0 and continue to play very well and only looking forward one game at a time.  Coach Willer keeps reminding them that they are our Titan future, play like you mean it and be ready for tomorrow.  They are certainly fun to watch.  They have been doing their part this year to make a statement and like Varsity are playing with heavy hearts right now.  Keep it up and continue to play hard.
