2005 Titans
4/26/05 - RiversideWe traveled to Oakland IA tonight to play Riverside. 9-0, now that is the way to get off the schnied. It was cold, windy and at times raining. JV started off the night with a big win and Varsity kept it going. Varsity played with a lot of patience, and a lot of simple play. When you play patient and simple, things will open up. This team is fun to watch when they play simple. Offensively we were on, defensively we played great and stopped any attempt on goal they had. Riley Landolt logs his first shut out of the season. Offensively we constantly had 5 or 6 guys in the box when we attacked. When you do that each time you will finish. Team wise our communication at the second level really stepped up tonight. Communication is a big part of the game. The game belonged to the TITANS tonight as we finish the game 9-0. Goals tonight were scored by Adam Larkin, Josh Probst, Dan Fischer, Ben Edwards, two by Pablo Navarrete, and Luke Thomsen gets the hat trick with three. Luke also had an assist, other assists tonight were by Logan Stichler, Dan Fischer, Josh Probst, and Josh Grovsenor had the hat trick with three assists. Overall we played well tonight, took a little while to get started, but we showed patience and once we got it started we didn't look back. Great game tonight, Thursday we have Kuemper at home. Also the St. Alberts game has been rescheduled to May 12th, Varsity only. It will be a girl, boy game with the girls playing at 4:30 and we will follow at or around 6pm. The JV game will also be rescheduled. The conditions didn't have an impact on JV tonight. We needed to play under control, patient, and keep our winning streak in tact. We played well, focused, and strong on defense. We pick up another win by beating Riverside JV 7 - 1. Goals tonight were scored by James Duysen, Korey Mabbitt, Scott Nelson, Jeff Walters, Kyle Zaloudek, and two by Zach Duysen. Zack also had an assist, along with assists by Brandon Duffy, Ryne Goetz, two assists by Tommy VonMende. It was a good game and a fun game to watch. |
