Kelley Park found Doug and Rich ready to play. Rich had an awesome drive and deuced the first hole to get things started. DOug claimed a deuce at hole three. Rich stumbled at hole four and again at hole eight where he lost a disc. Doug held a three stroke lead after nine holes.

Rich struggled at hole ten with a double-bogey. Both players claimed deuces at hole fifteen and Rich followed with another at hole sixteen. They played the back nine even. Doug went 26-29 for 55, while Rich went 29-29 for 58.
