Park De La Raza does not offically open until 8AM. Eric and Doug warmed up as Ted arrived a little late. There was already a walker in the park.
This park generally has long holes, with Eric claiming the only deuces at hole 15. The item of note in today's rounds is the number of OB's on the score cards. After nine holes, Doug, Ted and Eric all had two Out-of-Bounds on the scoresheet. Ted held the lead with 35, Doug had 36 and Eric was at 37.
While walking back to the first hole for the second round, Jeff Munday from the Silicon Valley Disc Golf Club, had just arrived in the parking lot and asked if he could join in. About two holes in Doug and Munday both realized that they have SVDGC bag tags had should probably be contesting them. Both players were even with each other at this point. Ted and Eric collected two more OB's on the back nine, while Doug was able to avoid any more. Doug got ahead of Munday for a couple of holes, until Jeff deuced hole 15 along with Eric. At the next hole Munday played a three while Doug struggled to a five. And with that finish, Munday defended tag #11.
On the second nine, Doug made up a stroke on TED to tie him with a 70 for the day. Eric also made up a stroke, but it still kept him in the same place as the turn. Thanks to Jeff Munday for joining us.
