WWF a fool to Goldust
By BRET "THE HIT MAN HART"
For the Calgary Sun
=================================
They say anything can happen in the WWF, but this thing with
Marlena is carrying it too far! Just when I thought it couldn't get any
worse, it did!
Dude Love meets Brian Pillman at tomorrow's Badd Blood
pay-per-view and I hope Dude beats Pillman so sore that he leaves
Marlena alone! When these two fought at the beginning of the
Intercontinental Title Tournament, Pillman escaped with the victory due
to Goldust's so called interference. Now Commissioner/Sergeant
Slaughter has decided that in order to keep Goldust from getting
involved, they're going to handcuff him to a ring post throughout the
entire match!
Goldust has agreed to this bizarre twist on the condition that if Dude
Love wins, Goldust gets five minutes in the ring with Pillman! I have no
idea where Marlena is supposed to be while Goldust is handcuffed to
the ring post but Monday night, on Raw, Dustin and Terry will be
allowed to reunite and in celebration they've said they'll renew their
wedding vows. I'd think twice about that if I were Dustin! I mean, why
was Marlena willing to go along with this when Pillman said that
Dakota is his?
The finals in the Intercontinental Title Tournament will happen
tomorrow at Badd Blood and a new intercontinental champion will be
crowned. I have an official WWF press release that says Stone Cold
Steve Austin is being required, as current intercontinental champion, to
make an appearance at Badd Blood to hand over the belt to the new
champion.
I don't really understand that because Austin already forfeited the title
and doesn't have the belt any more. In fact, Vince just said on Raw
that Austin forfeited both the IC and tag titles so I'm not sure what's up
with this but I wouldn't be surprised to see Stone Cold in St. Louis.
Talk in the locker room is that on Oct. 8, Austin is going for an MRI of
his neck to determine if he can ever wrestle again. Yeah, Austin is one
tough SOB but I'd like to see him back in action 'cause I have
unfinished business with him. If he decides to come back without the
doctor's approval, which I don't think he'll get, then he'll have to sign a
"hold harmless agreement" releasing the WWF from all responsibility
from any injuries he might sustain in the ring. If that's what he chooses
to do, and I think it will be, then Stone Cold might be back in
unsanctioned matches as soon as Oct. 18!
The injury list is long again. Bulldog was pulled off the road because
of the heinous way Shawn Michaels and Hunter Hearst Helmseley
two-on-oned his knee at One Night Only.
The British Bulldog has never been short in the guts department! He'll
still be tagging up with me at Badd Blood against Vader and Patriot
but his knee won't be anywhere near 100% -- and neither is mine!
This is going to be one of the toughest challenges ever for the Hitman
and the Bulldog! Fighting a really big guy like Vader and carrying all
that weight on injured knees is going to be really tough! The thing
Bulldog and I have going for us is history.
We've tagged up before, We've faced each other before. We've got
teamwork and timing. We decided not to delay this match because we
want to make Vader pay for breaking the Canadian flag over his knee!
Contrary to the propaganda the WWF has been putting out, I never
defaced the American flag!
Another thing. They keep on saying that Patriot beat me on Raw --
but they conveniently forget to mention that I was kicking the Patriot's
butt from one end of the ring to the other until Shawn Michaels stuck
his runny nose into my business again! Patriot only won by DQ! He's
never beat me yet and he's not going to beat me at Badd Blood!
Ken Shamrock has been off the road with a serious lung infection that
had him coughing up blood on Raw. He'll be back to team up with
LOD against three members of the Nation of Domination at Badd
Blood. This won't be the first time Animal and Hawk face a
Faarooq-led faction. At Wrestlemania 13, the Legion of Doom
teamed up with Ahmed Johnson, who is now an ex-member of NOD,
in a Six-man Chicago Street Fight. LOD won that one but NOD has
always said it was a fluke and they're out to prove it at Badd Blood.
We don't know which three members of NOD will step up against
LOD because by then Rocky or Faarooq might be IC champion!
Ahmed Johnson has the worst luck when it comes to injuries.
On Raw last week he slashed open his hand on an exposed nail
sticking out of the announcer's table! Not only is the cut deep and
wide but there are severed tendons and some nerve damage! Ahmed
has very little feeling in the ring finger of his right hand and none at all in
his little finger!
The Headbangers defend the tag titles against the Oh-God-winns
tomorrow. Whatever you want to say about the boys in skirts, one
thing is that they don't hide behind the belts! They'd better watch out
for Uncle Cletus!
The WWF's Badd Blood pay-per-view is tomorrow night on
Viewer's Choice.
