Luck runs out on Shamrock
By BRET "THE HIT MAN" HART
For the Calgary Sun
==============================
With the WWF's In Your House at the Saddledome on July 6, I should be concentrating on the
10-man tag.
Instead, I'm distracted by the way Ken Shamrock continues to mock the friendship and support
of The Hart Foundation. I thought it was a gesture of respect when I offered Shamrock the
opportunity to explain why he slammed The Anvil, defended Stone Cold Steve Austin, and just
plain interfered in Hart Foundation business.
I was deeply offended to see that Ken Shamrock went out of his way to explain himself to a
scum like Stone Cold Steve Austin and yet he hasn't even given me the courtesy of explaining his
traitorous behavior!
I got pretty hot when Shamrock told Austin, on Raw, that in his mind he considers Stone Cold
and The Foundation on the same level -- that we're cheaters and backstabbers!
Maybe this would make sense if Ken Shamrock had come into the WWF as an enemy of my
family, or if some differences had developed between us since he's been here. The fact is, when
Ken Shamrock came to the WWF he asked for my guidance and support and I was happy to
do that for him. Shamrock told me he considered himself kind of like Brian Pillman, as one of
The Hart Foundation's biggest supporters.
Now, since Shamrock had the audacity to join Austin's five-man team against The Hart
Foundation, at the Saddledome, Shamrock has turned out to be the same kind of lying
backstabber that he says he wants to eliminate from the WWF.
The so-called World's Most Dangerous Man has made the world's most dangerous mistake
taking on The Hart Foundation in Calgary.
Bulldog and Anvil are so pumped for the big match that they've been training at my place. Brian
Pillman kept calling, just itching to know every last detail of our In Your House strategy, so we
invited him to bunk here.
The Loose Cannon is so fired up about it that he's packing some brand new potent ammunition
especially for the Calgary show.
Owen has been helping me get my knee in shape by biking with me from my dad's place to the
zoo. If you think you see The Hitman buzz by on a 10-speed, your eyes probably aren't playing
tricks on you. The bike is the best way I've found to strengthen my knee.
If meeting me on the bike trails is too heavy a work out for you, then come on down to the In
Your House press conference this Wednesday at the Boyce Pavilion (in the Corral). Owen,
Bulldog and I will be there at 10 a.m and we want all the great wrestling fans in Calgary to come
out and be part of this exciting event. A limited number of tickets for the press conference will be
available at the door. For a chance to win free tickets, tune into CJAY 92, Rock 107, or
KISS-FM.
The sale of the Calgary Hitmen to the Flames isn't quite a done deal yet but if it does happen I
can't think of anyone better to manage the team. There's no reason to think The Flames would
change the name or logo of the Hitmen. As the saying goes if it works, don't fix it. Updates as I
have them.
