Cross Country

    In the Kansas Conference cross-country championship meet, the Bethany College men finished second behind defending chamption Southwestern College.  The women were third behind Southwestern and Ottawa University.

    The Bethany men and the Ottawa women represented the KCAC at the NAIA national meet.

    "I was pleased with our season.   This is the first time that Bethany has qualified a full team in cross-country for the NAIA nationals- although in the past we have had individual qualifying runners.   It has been a good year.  I hope we'll be even stronger in the future," head coach Brian Callaway said.

    The men competing in the nationals included Cory Swords, Phillip Jones, Marcus Skala, Travis Englebert, Casey Belknap, Curtis Deines, and C.J. Wilford.  Brandon Redetzke went as the Bethany alternate.

    Kasey Sawyer and Chija Skala qualified for the women's side to the NAIA national meet.
