Believe it or not, baseball gets cranked up this
weekend for the Swedes. The team plays at Fort Hays State on February
21 at 1 p.m. Fort Hays is ranked ninth in preseason NCAA Div. II
polls. The home opener follows quickly as the Swedes host Peru State
University of Nebraska on Sunday. The twinbill starts at 1 p.m. at
Anderson Field.
Coach Waldie is excited to get some sunshine and
get the season going. "We have some great leadership returning as
well as a fantastic recruiting class. We just need some productive
innings against quality opponents to see where the team is right now."
Coach Waldie wants to thank everybody for their
great support last season and hopes this year will be just as eventful.
