Everywhere I look there stretches the deep dark sea.
The sea stares with the gloomy eyes of a sage man at me.
The gleaming moon shows its powerful might,
By making everything as far as the eye can see brightly shine.
To the sides of me lie the great dirt-brown rocks,
That make the tall monotonous English cliffs stand out.
I lie down listening to the waves,
Crashing down on the sand with such force.
Yet it is so peaceful,/P>
It makes me think of all the
demeaning sadness that lies within me, The same rythmatic beat rushing
over the golden sand. Every ten seconds, tirelessly
playing its melody, The green-black wave
whooshes, The sound makes my nerves feel
cold, And makes me moan silently of my
better life in the past, I look up into the
sky, Where I see the heavens in full
display, The big reddish-brown
planet, Reminds me of how isolated one
can be, The stars remind me of the
thousands of people I've seen, Each showing its
brightness, Except for me. -March 31,1994 . please don't copy without Ben's permission
