1965: three architect students, Richard Wright, Roger Waters, and Nicholas Mason form Sigma Six at Regent Street
Syd Barrett joins band, which he renames Pink Floyd (what a smart fellow...)
February, 1967: EMI signs group
August 5, 1967: "Piper at the Gates of Dawn" debuts
November 1967: the band has its first visit to the U.S.
April 1968: Syd Barrett is "asked" to leave...he is later replaced by guitarist David Gilmour
July 29, 1968: "A Saucerful of Secrets" is released
October 25, 1969: "Ummagumma" double LP is released
September 1970: start of huge U.S. tour
October, 1970: "Atom Heart Mother" released
1973: One of the top 5 albums in history (staying on the top 200 for over 15 years!!!) "DARK SIDE OF THE MOON" is released
September 1975: "Wish You Were Here" released
January 23, 1977: "Animals" is released
December 1979: "The Wall" is released (Another Brick in the Wall Part II tops U.S. and UK charts)
1980: Rick Wright leaves the band
1982: Movie version of "The Wall" is released
April, 1983: "The Final Cut" is released
1986: The band breaks up....saddest moment in history...
September 1987: Dave Gilmour and Nick Mason record with the Pink Floyd name withouth Roger Waters...Waters sues because of the name...Rick Wright rejoins the band
September 1988: "Delicate Sound of Thunder" is released
July 21, 1990: Roger Waters preforms "The Wall" live in Berlin with his band
1994: release of "The Division Bell"
1995: release of the "PULSE" album...
