The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved. We discussed the condition of the existing treestand and it's in bad shape and needs to be rebuilt. The board members decided it needs to be replaced.Dan Lester has access to a boom truck from Alliant Energy and we can use it to set the power poles in place. The tentative date to set the poles and build the treestand is Saturday. May 17th (weather permitting). He would like at least 7 people to help with the project. If you can help, please call Dan Lester at 583-8967 or Joe Fluhr at 557- 7634. We also discussed purchasing new vitals for the 3-D targets and the decision will be made after our June shoot. The next shoot will be on Sunday, June 8th. The Team Captain is Sonny Weires. The following are names of the people who are responsible for the this shoot: Rich Barrett, Fran Bechen, Ryan Breiner, Al Burr, Milt Clough, Charlie Davis, Dave Doerr, Steve Horch and Corey Klein. If you can't make it out to help, please call someone to replace you or call Sonny at 552-1000. At the last shoot we had 54 people who participated. Thank you to all who helped out!! The Bow hunter League will start on Tuesday, May 27th, .The cost for the league is $15.00. There is a sign-up sheet at the Outdoor Range. Please sign up if your plarining on shooting the league and either send your check to: Joe Tilp, 1210 Madera, Dubuque, Iowa 52001 or put in the drop box on the counter at the Outdoor Range. Also, please put on the check memo "Bow hunter League" so Joe will know what you are paying for. There will be meeting on the rules of the league on Tuesday, May 2Oth and a work party for it on Saturday, May 24th. Please plan on attending!! If you are interested in the Field League, please give John Shappell a call at 582-5842. He will have the details. The cost for the Field League is also $15.00 this year. Dan and Lana Lester do custom embroidery on hats, coats, etc. Please give them your business if you want something special put on you clothing. You can call them at 583-8967 if interested.
