The Dubuque Field Archers had the annual meeting at the Outdoor Range on Saturday, March 20, 2004. Twenty-five members were present. Joe Tilp, Treasurer, gave his report and reminds everyone to please pay their dues by March 31st. Single membership is $30.00, Family Membership is $45.00 and youth (without a family membership) is $20.00. The age for youth is 12 -15 years of age. Milt Clough made a motion and it was seconded to elect the following slate of officers for the 2004 -2005 year: President, Tom Fessler; Vice President, Rodney Weires; Treasurer, Joe Tilp; Secretary (and News Letter), Kimberly Weires; Board Member, Fred Timmerman and State Representative, John Shappell. The officers from last year were thanked for their service to the club. The following items were discussed at the meeting: BEER LICENSE: After discussion a motion was made by Fred Timmerman not to buy a beer license, but let people bring the own if they wish, Motion was seconded and by a voice vote it was approved . POP MACHINE: The pop machine won't take new quarters and has been a problem for a long time. After discussion a motion was made by Fred Timmerman to have the pop machine hauled away. The motion was seconded and approved. SPRING CLEAN-UP: The date has been set for Saturday, March 27th at 7:00 a.m.. If needed it will also be held on Sunday, March 28th. We need to clear trails, cut branches, cut back weeds, clean the Club House, reinforce tree stands, etc. Please plan on helping out and bring your chain saws, 4 wheelers, weed wacker, etc. THANK YOU!! FIRST 3-D SHOOT: We are going to have it be a Saturday & Sunday Shoot! April lOth & 11th. Since April 11th is Easter Sunday, we decided we should have it be on Saturday as well to hopefully get more shooters to come. Please help spread the word to any shoots you may attend before then. CAPTAINS FOR 3-D SHOOTS: Please contact the captain that fits you schedule to work at a 3-D shoot. It worked out really well last year and we hope it can work again this year. If you don't call one of them, you will be placed on a list and notified. If you can't work for the shoot you're signed up for, please get a substitute or trade shoots with someone. APRIL lOth/11th � TIM DIGMAN (552-2755); JUNE 13TH -FRED TIMMERMAN (? CALL PRESIDENT); JULY 4TH - RANDY LESTER (583-1114); JULY 24TH/25TH WALTONIAN SHOOT IN CEDAR RAPIDS -JOHN SHAPPELL (582-5842); AUGUST 15TH -BILL JUNO (? CALL PRESIDENT). BOW HUNTER LEAGUE: The League will be run by John Timmerman & Jeff Winter. It will be 10 weeks and cost $15.00. It will start sometime in May. The starting date will be set later. John Timmerman made a motion not to have non- members shoot the league. By a show of hands it was approved. The Field League will be announced later also. TROPHIES FOR LEAGIJES: Tim Digman made motion to do away with awarding trophies and instead have merchandise like T -shits, hats, etc. awarded The motion was seconded and approved. TROPHIES FOR 3-D SHOOTS: Tim Digman made a motion to do away with trophies at 3-D shoots and instead award to each class a FREE 3-D SHOOT OF THEIR CHOICE. The motion was seconded and approved. NEXT CLUB MEETING: The next meeting (which we hope everyone will be there - free cookies provided by typist!!) will be on Tuesday, April 13th, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. at the Outdoor Range's Club House. Please bring your family along if you want to and the kids can run around outside while we meet. The agenda will be: Discussion on how the first 3-D shoot went, Non-club members shooting leagues and open shooting (Milt Clough is going to do some research) and getting an application form into the Dubuque Advertiser .
