Tony Glavin Tournament Rules and Regulations

 

Official State Roster with ID Cards and Travel Letters:

Must be approved at Tournament Headquarters before the start of each team’s first game.

Maximum Player Limits:

Maximum of 18 players on roster, including 3 guest players. For U9 & U10, maximum of 14 players on roster, including 3 guest players.

Home Team:

First team listed is the home team. The home team must change uniform in case of color conflict.

Field Players:

U9 & U10 will play 8 vs. 8 (7 field players and a goalkeeper); U11 through U18 will play 11 vs. 11.

Starting Time:

A match will be considered forfeited if a team is more than 5 minutes late for a scheduled match. A forfeited game is a 5-0 game. A minimum of 7 players is required to start and finish a game (minimum of 6 for U9 & U10).

Game Ball:

U9 through U12 will use a size 4 ball; U13 through U18 will use a size 5 ball. Game ball to be provided by the home team on schedule subject to referee approval.

Playing Times:

U9 through U10           25 minute halves

U11 through U14         30 minute halves

U15 through U18         40 minute halves

Team Disqualifications:

A team is disqualified for lack of proper papers, lack of player passes, or less than 7 players on the field (6 for U9 & U10).

Player Disqualifications:

Red-carded players will be disqualified for the next scheduled match. This includes semi-final and final matches.

Forfeits:

Any team that forfeits a game for any reason will not advance. Teams that forfeit because they cannot advance will not be asked back in the future.

Point System:

Win: 3 points   Tie: 1 point   Forfeit: 3 points (scored as 5-0)   Loss: 0 points

Tie Breakers:

In the event of a tie in deciding a group winner or wild card, the following tie-breakers will be used in the following order.

  1. Head-to-head competition.
  2. Goal difference, goals scored minus goals allowed (maximum 5 per game).
  3. Most goals for (maximum of 5 per game).
  4. Fewest goals allowed.
  5. Penalty shots.

Championship Games:

Games tied after regulation time will be decided in the following manner:

  1. 10 minutes of Gold Goal play.
  2. Penalty shots.

Substitution:

Player substitution, subject to referee approval, is allowed:

  1. Prior to any throw-in (both teams; if team in possession substitutes).
  2. Before any goal kick.
  3. After a goal is scored.
  4. After half time.
  5. In case of injury (opposing team may substitute a like number of players).

Refund Policy:

All teams are guaranteed to be scheduled for 3 games, but there is not a guarantee that 3 games will be played.  If games are not played due to circumstances beyond the control of the Tournament (such as bad weather, flood, etc.) refunds will be given at the discretion of the Tournament Committee. The maximum refund per team is $150.

 

All Referees and Assistant Referees will be provided by the Tournament.

Absolutely no protests allowed. All Referee decisions will be FINAL!!
