About Me

I am a graduate of the UNCG (Univ. of N. Carolina at Greensboro) who majored in sociology. I obtained my bachelor's degree at Kent State University majoring in sociology and psychology. Yes, that is the university, where 4 students were shot and killed in the 1970's. My academic interests are in race and ethnic relations (why is it and always seems to be a problem in the U.S. and worldwide), sexuality in America ("In America, sex is an obsession, in other parts of the world, it is a fact." - M. Dietrich) and social issues & policy. You can read my thesis titled "The Influence of Race & Degree of Proximity on the Perceptions of College Students.
