Hempfield defeated Manheim Twp 2-0 Thursday night in Neffsville. The Knights used the power of Ben Murray and Rob Fisher to their advantage with a middle attack against the short Blue Streak team. The Knights utilized the middle as the predominate settin g area after using the outside attack against Penn Manor on Tuesday night. The middle attack had an immediate impact on the Streaks who weren't used to the speed of Hempfield's offense. Murray and Fisher combined for 12 kills out of 25 swings, with a comb ined .416 hitting average. The final scores were 15-3 and 15-1.
The JV was also victorious with 15-3 and 15-5 wins over the Streaks.
