Gareth made inroads into his personal bests this year making good progress.He captured his first senior title wen he tok victory ahead of Ken Nason and Neville Davey at the National Indoors before posting an Indoor personal best when he raced in the European Indoor Championships in Gent, Belgium.Failing to progress beyond the first round, despite his new time he went back into training and posted a new best over the mile and the 1500m.His 1500m time was inside the Olympic B time and came early in the season which meant that the A time was possible.But a serious injury forced Gareth to stop racing and cost him a chance to make further progression.
