A sad week for bowlers with the news that Allen Jones passed away on Wednesday night. Allen was a true gentleman and at the age of 88 was unchallenged as Australia's oldest league bowler, playing three times a week, as he had done for 16 years since the centre opened. He held an excellent 160 average and was a ten-year president of the centre's Golden Oldies senior league. Allen will be sadly missed and condolences to his family and friends from all bowlers at the Orange Tenpin Bowl.
