The fourth round of the South-West zone Country Challenge series will be bowled at the Wagga Tenpin Bowl this weekend with the two Orange teams well situated on the points table as they fight for a place in the State final in November.
In round three the men's team climbed from third to second and trails leaders Wagga by 22 points. With Wagga having the home-lane advantage this time the Orange team will really need to perform well to ensure they don't fall further behind.
Last round saw the women's team fall from second back to third and they trail leaders Bathurst and Canberra by 33 points and also need a strong showing this time to stay in touch with the top two teams.
The following players will be competing for Orange:
Men
Chris Collins, David Hayward, Alan Collins, Henry Phillips, Ken Wiseman, Wally Price
Women
Gwen Britt, Marilyn Schwenke, Judy Streatfeild, Dianne Gee, Bonnea Wiseman, Lyn Handel
Orange's other representatives will be bowling in the fourth round of the Central West Pennants against Bathurst next weekend.

Jason Belmonte was top gun at the Orange Tenpin Bowl this week, shooting a brilliant 719 series in the Friday triples then a 1307 six game block in the Monday Scratch Singles.
In the Triples Belmonte started with a nice 256, had a moderate 186 in the middle game then finished with a blistering 277 game. The 700 series lifted his average to 210.
Belmonte started with 186 in the Singles but then found the groove, peeling off games of 226-246-203-235-211 for an impressive five game set of 1121. He carved 16 points off Mark Lijic's league lead but still trails by 50 points.
The Mark Lijic story this week? In the Singles he fired two great games of 237 and 279 but was rather out of sorts in his other games, finishing with a 1228 series, a good effort by most standards but well below his normal output.
The Friday triples saw Lijic keep his average steady on 221 after rolling 236-226 for an excellent 651 series.
The lanes must have been too easy for that league though as there were a total of six 600 series and twenty-three 200 games for the night as well as Belmonte's 700.
Other competitors shooting above 600 were Tim Irwin 203-201-223 (628), Mario Mastronardi 209-211 (604), Henry Phillips 206-213 (610), Steve Reil 214-227-214 (655) and Tony Richards 201-236-226 (663).
Rolling 200 games were Jason Brown 225, Ross Caltabiano 236, Alan Collins 208, Lyn Handel 215, Michael Moorby 213 and Paul West 215.
Looking back at the Monday Singles other good games were bowled by Wally Price 216-213 (805/4), June Reil 208, Steve Reil 201-211-210, Chris Collins 207-222 (602/3), Les Gunner 203, Tim Irwin 202-222, Rebecca Belmonte 209 and Belinda Irwin 213-210.
Mick Moorby shot a 266 but his other games were far from impressive.
Sharon Trudgett fired 208-222 for a 617 series in the Wednesday Doubles while Glenn Robinson rolled 244-206 for a 605 series.
Other good games were bowled by Wally Price 258, Mitchell Carter 202, Dianne Gee 221 and Brian Dinsmore 200.
In the Tuesday Ladies singles high games came from Melanie Brown 203, Lyn Handel 237, Judy Streatfeild 205 and Sharon Trudgett 209.
Tennille Smith bowled a 217 game in the Tuesday 6:30 league while Ray Parkes rolled a nice 236 in the Friday 6:30 league.
Following on from his 258 the previous week, Chris Lees rolled an excellent 237 game in the Wednesday Juniors.
Personal best games from various leagues this week included Sarah Hunt 137, Melissa Warrender 149, Matthew Cox 169, Rebecca McNabb 146, Mark Jones 165, Louise Hawkey 151, Adam Smith 112, Troy Seers 138 and Kathy Quommo 117.
