After a deluge of tenpin bowling news last week, there's a scarcity of news this week.

That doesn't mean scores have eased up at all, with another haul of big games during the week, led by a mighty 278 game from Tony Richards who also added games of 218 and 199 for a 695 series in the Friday Triples.

Also doing well in the same league were Mark Lijic 224-230 (640), Aldo Belmonte 201, Jason Belmonte 203, Jason Brown 212, Chris Collins 202, John Cooney 212, Tim Irwin 200, Henry Phillips 200 and Ray Tyquin 214.

It was week of the substitute in the Monday Scratch Singles with a number of players opting for a reserve this round. One of those subs, Jason Brown shared the night's honours with Jason Belmonte, with both bowlers tossing 1218/6.

Brown was the more consistent, turning in games of 200-203-201-210-205 before falling just one pin short of another 200 in his sixth game. The flashy Belmonte fired games of 210-245-212.

Another sub in Chris Collins did well with games of 247-210-225 (865/4) while other good games were bowled by league leader Les Gunner 209-205, Jim Dullaway 204, sub David Hayward 206-203-203 (806/4), Dwayne Price 231 and John Cooney 214-213.

Dianne Gee led the way in the Tuesday Ladies Singles, just missing an 800/4 series after games of 233-211 while other notable efforts came from Rhearne Trudgett 203, Lyn Handel 204, Karen Sharp 205-213, Judy Streatfeild 200 and Sharon Trudgett 201-211.

Trudgett returned the following evening in the Austostyle Doubles where she unleashed games of 223-201-213 for a nice 637 series. Also making their mark were Ray Tyquin 206-202, Dave Gunner 202, Keith Dean 202, John Cooney 207, Chris Collins 213 and Allan Collins 209.

In the Wednesday 7:30 league good games were bowled by Frank McGovern 203, Anthony Knudsen 201, Allan Collins 214 and Peter Bryson 200.

The Sunday Graded Singles saw high games from Sue Dubbelde 212 and James Dubbelde while in the Sunday Doubles Bob Waddell rolled a 221 and Don Edgerton shot a 203.

Dianne Fishlock bowled an excellent 225 game in the Tony Leahey Ford Monday 10am Triples while in the Monday Golden Oldies John Rapley shot 235 and Richard Marshall 210.

High games in the Monday 6:30 league came from Bill Miles 211 and Richard De Rooy 213 while Phil Blakeley bowled a 205 in the Monday Mixed Singles. In the Tuesday 6:30 league Gloria Bourke bowled a 200 game.

Personal best games during the week were bowled by Greg Armond 189, Blake Robinson 100, Evan Jackson 133, Melissa Jones 183, Barbara Lewis 140, Leigh Gunning 117 and Kate Hart 158.
