Veteran John Rapley and junior Melanie Brown share this week's honorary Fast Lane "Player of the week" title following a couple of impressive series.
Rapley turned up the heat in the Monday 10am Triples, shooting games of 246-254-211 for a great 711 series. The previous day Rapley shot a nice 238 in the Sunday Sabbath league.
Normally when you roll games of 232-210-205-199 for an 846 series in a singles league you would expect to win more than your share of the points. That's what Marilyn Schwenke would have been thinking in the Tuesday Ladies Singles but she went home without a single point after feeling the brunt of a personal best 923/4 series from Melanie Brown, a junior centre record.
Brown was in great form, rolling games of 242-228-218-235.
In the same league Lyn Handel shot a 216 game while Dianne Gee had a 202.
There were other outstanding efforts during the week including a high game of 265 from Frank McGovern in the Monday Mixed Singles as he recorded an 807/4 series.
McGovern also did well in the Sunday Restricted Singles where he shot a 246 game. Also putting their best foot forward on Sunday were Gary Johnson 204, Jonathan Thatcher 201-204, Trevor Auliff 207 and Bob Waddell 214.
Junior Chris Lees rolled a brilliant personal best game of 258 in the Adult-Junior league, which included a six bagger. The game was 101 pins over average and he also finished with a personal best three game series if 596.
Mark Lijic kept his impressive average at 221 in the Friday Triples with an imposing 694 series after games of 224-258-212.
Next best were Stan Streatfeild and Tony Richards, both with a 628 series. Streatfeild shot 218-216 while Richards fired 200-226-202. Other 600 series in that league were bowled by Les Gunner 223 (604) and Mario Mastronardi 211-216 (622).
Also doing well were Aldo Belmonte 209, Rebecca Belmonte 204, Ross Caltabiano 235, Lyn Handel 205, Belinda Irwin 200, Mick Moorby 216, Steve Reil 201-231, David Rosser 204, Marilyn Schwenke 212 and Tennille Smith 212.

Personal best games this week included Michael Smith 195, Vivienne Chaston 171, Sandy Meyers 139, Damion Carr 160, Will Gunn 131, Rebecca Lefevre 119, Leigh Gunning 107, Kimberley Wiseman 111, Aisling Deblanken 135, Kathy Quommo 113, Evan Jackson 143 and Hayden Gosper 99.
