Qualifying is now underway for the annual Christmas No-Tap tournament with the final scheduled for January 23, 2000.
Bowlers roll four games to qualify using a seven or eight no-tap format depending on their entering average with the top 20 players progressing to the final.
Bowlers with an average of 169 or under use the seven no-tap format where knocking down that number of pins minimum counts as a strike while those with an average above that mark have to knock down eight for a strike.
Bob Jane T-Mart and Harvey Norman Discounts are sponsoring this year's tournament and there will be separate men's and women's divisions.
Prizes on offer are a Phillips DVD player valued at $800 and a set of All Rounder tyres worth $400.
