Paul Lambert
Born: 7th August 1969 in Glasgow.
Position: Midfield,in a holding role.
Previous Clubs:Celtic, Borussia Dortmund, Motherwell, St.Mirren.
Profile: Paul is a cultured midfielder who rarely loses his head in even the most daunting of situations. Although not the most noticeable of players, Lambert's workload is second to none, and Dortmund were well aware of this when they signed him from Motherwell after a European encounter.
Now at Celtic and clearly enjoying it, his calming influence in the holding role in midfield gives Scotland an air of stability which they otherwise lack. Always in Craig Brown's first squad it is hard to see Paul losing his Scotland place any time in the near future.
