Profile: A disappointing end to Craig's World Cup, as he was sent off in the final game against Morocco for a foul that was clearly born out of frustration. Up until that point he had played well, especially in the second-half of the Norway game when he was allowed to fulfill his favourite role in behind the strikers. Perhaps it was the dyed hair, whatever his excuse he is still one of the most ferocious competitors Scotland have, he was sorely missed in the Lithuania game when his head-up attitude may have prevented some of the teams pathetic stumblings. Wim Jansen and Celtic in General helped Burley to the best season of his life last year, winning the Scottish Football Writers' award for player of the year 1997/98. All of Scotland hopes his form can continue on the national stage.
