NCAA: Records In The 90s

Three teams in the 90s won over 100 games: Florida State, Nebraska, and Florida. The overall leader in winning percentage, though, is Marshall. That's because the Thundering Herd have only played three seasons at the Division I-A level. Kansas State rode its late-90s success to #11 on the list, while three-time Rose Bowl winner Wisconsin is a distant 29th on the list. The team with the worst record? Buffalo, of course, whose one and only I-A season was an 0-11 disaster. For schools that have played throught the decade, though, Kent holds the futility mark winning just 14% of its games.

Below is a ranking of all current Division I-A schools and their record in the 90s. Records reflect forfeitures rather than on-field results. Conference records indicate total conference record, even for teams like Texas (SWC, Big Twelve) with more than one membership in the 90s.

Note: The table below has the best 80 teams in winning percentage, but will eventually be filled in for all 114 teams that finished the decade as I-A programs.
