Canada's country queen Shania Twain will kick off her first-ever world tour with a two-night stand in Sudbury, Ont., - of all places - on May 29, according to a just-published cover story in Maclean's.

The article says Twain's hockey arena tour of Canada, with a nine-piece band, won't hit Toronto until August.

"Basically the show will be a party and I will be the hostess," Twain tells the magazine. "It's not going to be that slick. Just high energy, great lights and great sound."

Maclean's also reports that Twain plans to tour with one of her five horses in tow.
