Twain was nominated along with her husband/producer Robert (Mutt) Lange in the Album of the Year category for their effort Come On Over.
Tim McGraw, who rocked the Saddledome earlier this month, earned the most nods with seven, including Entertainer of the Year.
McGraw will be up against some tough competition for the top award: Garth Brooks, Brooks & Dunn, Reba McEntire and George Strait.
The Indian Outlaw was also nominated for Top Male Vocalist, Album (Everywhere), Single, Top Vocal Event, Song, and Video (It's Your Love).
Mrs. McGraw, Faith Hill, shared second place with George Strait and Trisha Yearwood, who all got four nominations.
There were a trio of nominations for Brooks, Diamond Rio, Patty Loveless and LeAnn Rimes.
Brooks & Dunn, Deana Carter, Martina McBride and Lee Ann Womack all got double nods.
The 33 annual awards will be handed out April 22 at the Universal Amphitheatre in Los Angeles.
