US Warned- Hands Off of Iran's Nuts

Dateline Washington- Today, the FDA warned against eating any cashews, pecans, or pistachios grown in Iran. This comes after several hundred Iranians became sick after eating domestic nuts.
The nuts were found to be contaminated with Knarfus Rumazum, a rare infectious bacteria that effects several species of nut trees. In humans it can cause a non-fatal infection of the liver. Other symptoms reported are abdominal pain, nausea, constipation, and indigestion.
To date, it is unsure what is causing the infection, but the Iranian Agricultural Committee said that "We will do everything possible to find out what is wrong with our nuts."
