HEAD COACH CHRIS HALL
Chris Hall comes to us from Phoenix, Arizona. Coach Chris graduated from Arizona State University with an A.B.A. in sports psychology and exercise science. He has been coaching for the past 10 years and worked with Junior National Qualifiers in 1997. Chris was fortunate from 1994-1996 to work with Misty Hyman, United States High School Swimmer of the Year. Coach Chris is a certified level 3 with the American Swim Coaches Association and is currently working on his level 4 of 5. Chris brings a wealth of knowledge and innovation to West Chicago and is looking to make the Sharks the best TEAM in Illinois. His philosophy is to have fun while training smart. Chris is the Head Boys Swim Coach at West Chicago High School and lives in Naperville. |

ASSISTANT COACH DAN JOHNSON
Dan Johnson has been with the Sharks for the past 20 years. Dan was our Head Coach from 1978-1992 and an Assistant Coach from 1992 to the present. Dan graduated from the University of Northern Iowa, where he was a 4 year swimmer and 2 year team captain. Dan also received his Masters in Administration and Supervision from National Lewis University. Dan has been the West Chicago High School Girls Coach from 1978-1985 and from 1989 to the present. In 1991, Dan was named High School Head Coach of the Year. Dan has coached 7 All-Americans, 6 National Age Group Top-16s, 3 High School State Champions and a bunch of Age Group State Champions. Dan lives in West Chicago with his son and daughter, Corey and Angie. |

ASSISTANT COACH DAN FORS
Dan Fors joined the Sharks coaching staff in 1993. Dan graduated from Northern Illinois University with a degree in P.E. and Health. Coach Dan is also certified level 2 with the American Swim Coaches Association and is an Assistant Coach for the West Chicago High School Girls Team. Coach Dan's goal for the season is to bring out the swimmer's very best performance, while strengthening their skills necessary to be successfull in swimming and in life. Coach Dan lives in West Chicago and teaches for the West Chicago Elementary Schools. |

ASSISTANT COACH MARY BETH ZARNDT
Mary Beth Zarndt started her commitment to the Shark Program as an age group swimmer and continues as a coach. She started coaching the Sharks in 1986. She is a graduate of Augustana College. She is currently an Assistant Coach with the West Chicago High School Girls team. Mary Beth believes that coaches are to provide an atmosphere where swimmers can develop skills, friendships and team spirit. Mary Beth emphasizes sportsmanship, responsibility, and discipline, while encouraging the swimmers to have fun! Mary Beth and her husband, Tom, live in Warrenville. |
