Trip To NHK

YFSC member Martine d'Entremont learned in the spring of '97 that she had won a trip from Colgate to attend the '97 NHK Trophy in Nagano ,Japan. The trip was for 4 peolpe and included traveling there with members of the Canadian team.

To her delight this included Shae-Lynn Bourne, Victor Kraatz,Samantha Marchant,Chad Hause, Angela Derochie & Jean Francois Hebert. What a great prize for a figure skater to win! Late in November of '97 Martine, her sister Natalie & there parents Mary Lou & Louis set off from Halifax for Nagano picking up Canadian team members as they crossed the country.
