Inaugural members of the LoW, Caersws entered the season under the management of Mickey Evans, one of the few managers to have maintained his position for the whole six years of the LoW's history.

However, the season didn't start too well for the mid-Walian Bluebirds, and after an away draw at the newly named Total Network Solutions, Caersws were unlucky to lose to a suckerpunch goal at home to Ebbw Vale, and then a 4-0 defeat at the hands of Welshpool. However, Welshpool's hat-trick scorer that day is now playing for Caersws. Bangor City, too, were victors against the Bluebirds, winning 3-1.

However, after that disappointing August, September seemed a bit brighter for Caersws, with a 4-2 away win over Rhayader being followed by a 4-1 win at home to Porthmadog. However, those bright displays were followed by a further two losses, at home in a narrow 3-2 defeat to Flint Town United, and then at Aberystwyth's Park Avenue, where the Seasiders won 1-0. The month did end on a happy note, though, with Caernarfon being beaten by a 4-2 scoreline, at the Recreation Ground.

October didn't start too well though, with an away loss at Connah's Quay Nomads followed by a home defeat to Rhyl. There was then a further defeat at Conwy United, where they lost 3-0, but some pride was regained in fighting out a 3-3 draw at Eugene Cross Park against Ebbw Vale. The month again ended on a high-spot, with a 2-0 home victory over T.N.S.

Revenge was exacted at Welshpool, with the Bluebirds pulling off a 3-0 win, and they were then unlucky to lose 3-2 at Bangor City a week later. Cemaes Ynys Mon were the visitors on the final Saturday of the month, and they returned to Anglesesy after losing 3-0 to the Blues.

December again started with a loss, a 3-2 defeat at the Traeth against Porthmadog. This was followed by allowing Flint to do the double over them, with Flint's first home win of the season, a 0-2 defeat for Caersws. Cemaes were again the opponents on the weekend before Christmas, and the Blues traveled onto the island and returned with a 4-2 win and three points. Boxing Day saw one of the big games of the season, as a 650 strong crowd witnessed them lose 2-1 at home to local rivals, Newtown.

The new year began with the visit of Barry to the Recreation Ground, where two first half goals sunk the Blues. This was followed by a similarly disappointing 3-1 away defeat to Cwmbran Town. However, results in recent weeks have shined for the mid-Wales club, with them defeating Inter Cable-tel 2-0 in an LoW match at Caersws, followed by a 4-2 away win over Haverfordwest County and then a 6-1 win over Carmarthen. Goals galore!

This season has again seen success for Caersws in the Welsh Cup. Last year they reached the quarter final, where they were defeated 2-0 here at Jenner Park but this year they have looked equally impressive, hammering Presteigne St.Andrews 8-1 in the second round, and then CC Sports side, UWIC, by a 4-0 scoreline. Last Saturday, Caersws repeated their victory over Inter Cable-tel, defeating them 3-2 at the Athletic Stadium. The reward for this is a quarter-final tie at home against Newtown, a game which surely everyone in mid-Wales is anticipating!
