If this is the game which no-one was supposed to care about, then tonight's Premier Cup game will be an incredible spectacle!

The major incident of the match came after 17 minutes, when Inter keeper, Gary Wager, caught the ball outside his box. Wager started the walk back to the changing rooms, with Inter striker Paul Evans replacing him in goal for the ten man side.

Barry took the lead four minutes before the break. Some neat interplay on the edge of the box saw the ball threaded through to Richard Jones who turned his marker and smashed the ball past Evans.

Barry relaxed slightly at the start of the second half, and Inter clawed their way back into the game. Gareth Shone was adjudged to have fouled Samir Misbah about thirty-five yards out, and Steve Mardenborough fired a brilliant free-kick home.

Nevertheless, Barry took the lead again after 75 minutes. An inswinging cross from the right wasn't dealt with by the Inter defence and Barnett struck a fierce shot. Evans wasn't quite able to hold onto the ball, and it spilled out of his hands. Justin Perry was the first to react, chipping the ball over Evans's body and into the net. Perry has scored in all four Gilbert Cup matches that Barry have played this season.

Despite Inter playing all three substitutes and pushing hard for an equaliser, Barry remained in control, and scored a third goal in injury time. Barry swept forward with several quick passes, stretching the Inter defence. The final ball saw a switch from the left to the right, where Terry Evans was alone, and in space. After controlling the ball, he fired home in the bottom right hand corner of his namesake's goal, ensuring Barry's victory and a place in the Gilbert Cup final for a third successive year.
