Barry kept hold of their tight lead at the top of the League of Wales with a 3-0 victory at Bangor City's Farrar Road. The North Wales side slipped a place further down the LoW table, as Barry coasted to victory, assisted by two penalties, both of which were converted by assistant-manager Richard Jones.
Barry used a normal side, and went ahead through LoW top-scorer, Eifion Williams, who netted his 12th LoW goal of the season after 29 minutes. That was followed soon after by bookings to Bangor City's Lloyd and Horner, the latter over the first penalty decision.
Jones stepped up to take the penalty and put Barry 2-0 ahead at the break. With no further bookings, Barry coasted through the second half, adding a third goal from the penalty spot in the dying minutes, again from Richard Jones, taking him to sixth in the League of Wales goalscorers list. Eifion Williams remains clear at the top with 12 goals in Barrys nine League of Wales games, and a further four in the League of Wales Cup.
Meanwhile, events at Farrar Road continued to move at some pace as despite a clearing the air with supporters at a meeting last Wednesday evening, Bangor City are again shrouded in mystery following the resignation of assistant-manager, Dean Martin, after the Barry match.
Martin was manager at Rhyl until a fortnight before the game, when he resigned after a 5-4 home win over Denbigh Town in the Welsh Cup.
Receiving no bookings, Barry maintained their position at the top of the League of Wales Fair Play Table for October.
