BARRY TO ENTERTAIN MERTHYR IN PREMIER CUP QUARTER FINAL...AGAIN
Following the conclusion of Group A last week, Barry will once again be playing Merthyr Tydfil in the quarter-final of the F.A.W Premier Cup.
When the draw was made last month, Barry were drawn to play the runners-up of group A here at Jenner Park. It went to the wire, with Cardiff City needing three points against Rhyl to win the group and leave Merthyr in second. Cardiff eventually won that final game with a goal six minutes from time to win 3-2 at home to the struggling League of Wales club.
As yet, there is no official announcement of the date for the match, but two of the Premier Cup quarter-finals take place this week. Newtown entertain Wrexham at Latham Park on Tuesday, while Inter Cabletel meet Cwmbran yet again at the Cardiff Athletic Stadium on the same night.
REARRANGED MATCH
Barry's home match against Newtown has been rescheduled for Saturday, 13th March.
The original game was due to be played back in October, but horrendous storms meant that the pitch was unplayable on that date.
COMING UP
Next Saturday, 27th February, sees the Dragons visiting mid-Wales again. On this occasion it is for our first match against Newtown this season, a side who are challenging strongly at the top of the table, and, as all games with Newtown, it looks set to be a tough match.
The following Saturday, 6th March, we're at home to Bangor City. The last time we met Bangor at Jenner Park we won 5-0 and were presented with the League of Wales championship.
Enjoy today's game,
the Yellow Dragon
