Gilbert League of Wales Cup semi-final

WELCOME

Good afternoon, and welcome to Jenner Park for today's Gilbert League of Wales Cup match between Barry Town and Inter Cabletel. On behalf of everyone at the club, I would like to extend warm greetings to everyone at today's match, but especially to the players, officials and supporters of Inter Cabletel. We hope that you enjoy your short stay in Barry, have a safe journey home and that we see an entertaining match of football today, as is usual between our two sides.

OUR DISTINGUISHED VISITORS

Even those unfortunate enough to miss our recent victory over Total Network Solutions, will have heard about the visit to Jenner Park by some of world football's most important administrators.

The International Football Association Board recently met at Miskin Manor in the Vale of Glamorgan, and several of their members, including Sepp Blatter, president of FIFA, and Leonard Johanssen, general secretary of UEFA, were present at the match, gaining a taste of League of Wales football.

We hope that they enjoyed their short visit to Barry and the Vale of Glamorgan, and enjoyed Welsh hospitality.

COMING UP

We have a very busy month ahead of us here at Jenner Park, starting tonight of course. We are at home again on Saturday, against a Bangor side who were unbeaten during February, and will again prove to be tough customers when they travel here.

Next week, we are away at Afan Lido, so far the only side to have defeated us here at Jenner Park. Hopefully, there'll be a large and vocal Barry support in Aberafan, Port Talbot, which will stop them doing the double over us.

Following that, we meet Newtown yet again, in a rearranged home match, a game which is sure to be difficult, with the Robins still going for Europe. That match is followed by our FAW Premier Cup tie with Merthyr Tydfil on Tuesday, 16th March. Another game which you'd be crazy to miss. So be there!

Enjoy tonight's match,
the Yellow Dragon.
